• THREE PREFILTERS, STAGES 1 TO 3 - One polypropylene sediment cartridge and two carbon blocks, all 10 by 2.5 inch. That is the front end of a five stage reverse osmosis system: the stages that load fastest and get changed most often.
• NO MEMBRANE OR POST-FILTER IN THIS SET - Stages 1, 2 and 3 only. The membrane runs on a much longer cycle, usually two to three years against six to twelve months for these, which is why prefilters are sold on their own as the mid-year service.
• THREE CARTRIDGES IN STAGE ORDER – Stage one is a graded density polypropylene sediment filter that holds back dust, rust and particles before they reach anything else. Stages two and three are extruded carbon blocks, and that pair is doing the important work: chlorine reaching the membrane is what shortens membrane life fastest. All three are standard 10 by 2.5 inch, so they drop into the housings you already have.
• FITS APEC ESSENCE AND ULTIMATE SYSTEMS - ROES-50, ROES-75, ROES-PH75, RO-45, RO-90, RO-PH90, RO-Hi, RO-PERM, RO-Pump and WFS-1000, and most systems using 10 by 2.5 inch housings. Replaces FILTER-SET, FILTER-MAX-ES50, FILTER-MAX-ES75 and FILTER-MAX90 prefilter positions. Compatible replacement, not an original manufacturer part.
• FITS THESE SYSTEMS – Direct replacement for the FILTER-SET bottom three prefilter positions in ROES-50, ROES-75, ROES-PH75, ROES-UV75, ROES-PHUV75, ROES-UV75-SS, RO-45, RO-90, RO-PH90, RO-PERM, RO-Pump, RO-Hi and WFS-1000. All three cartridges are standard 10 by 2.5 inch, so the set also fits any other reverse osmosis system built around standard 10 inch cartridges. The membrane and post filter are separate parts.
• MATCH THE FILTER TO YOUR WATER - How fast the prefilters load depends on your supply and how much water you run. Most households change them two to four times a year. Falling flow at the faucet is the signal, not the calendar.
