• RPWF ONLY - CHECK FOR THE E: This R-3600 replaces GE RPWF, RWF1063, RWF3600A and WSG-4. It does not fit the RPWFE - that cartridge carries an RFID chip your refrigerator looks for. If there is a small circuit board on the collar of the filter you are pulling out, you need the RPWFE part, not this one.
• NSF/ANSI 42 - THE STANDARD LINE: Built to NSF/ANSI 42, the standard covering chlorine, taste, odour and aesthetic impurities. This is the standard R-3600. If you want the higher-specification tier, that is our Nufresh Plus R-3600 listing - same fit, same bay.
• CLICKS INTO THE GE BAY: Seats in the upper-left filter compartment of GE French-door refrigerators built for the RPWF cartridge. Push in until it clicks and swing the cover shut. No tools, no shut-off valve, no plumber.
• SIX MONTHS PER CARTRIDGE: A carbon block rated for 300 gallons or six months, whichever comes first. Chlorine taste and smell come out; the calcium and magnesium that keep water from tasting flat stay in.
• FLUSH BEFORE THE FIRST GLASS: Run and discard two gallons after fitting. Early cloudiness is carbon dust leaving the block - normal on any new carbon filter, and gone inside a minute.
