It has a larger surface area and has a longer filter life. This water filter cartridge removes more pollutants by providing "depth" filtering.
• ✅GRADED DENSITY SPUN FILTRATION – Melt-blown polypropylene is denser toward the core, so the full depth captures sand, silt, dirt and rust — holds more debris and clogs slower than surface-only filters. Fits GE GXWH04F, GXWH20F, GXWH20S and GXRM10 housings and any standard 10" x 2.5" system — 9-3/4" actual length, the standard nominal 10". Same standard size as P5, WFPFC5002, SDC-25-1005 and other spun cartridges. Eight cartridges: replace about every 3 months
