About This

• Two activated carbon block cartridges for CCI-10-CLW and CCI-10-CLW12 clear canisters, which at a quarterly change covers half a year on one system. If you change every six months instead, two covers the full year. The four pack on this page brings the cost per cartridge down further.
• Carbon block for clear canister systems: solid block construction reduces chlorine, bad taste and odor with longer carbon contact than loose granules can give, because water is pushed through the media rather than channeling around it. In a clear housing you can watch it darken and see exactly when it is time to change.
• Fits CCI-10-CLW and CCI-10-CLW12 applications and any standard 10 by 2.5 inch housing, so one box serves as an RV or camper water filter and as a home under sink or whole house cartridge. If the one you are pulling out measures 10 by 2.5 inches, this fits regardless of the name on the housing.
• Cartridges only, no housing in the box, and this is the slim 10 inch cartridge rather than a 4.5 inch big blue. The two look broadly similar in a photograph and are not interchangeable, so measure the one you are replacing before ordering rather than going by the model name on your system.
• Carbon exhausts rather than clogging. A sediment cartridge warns you it is finished by dropping your water pressure; carbon gives no such signal and simply stops reducing taste and odor while the flow stays the same. Change every three to six months depending on your water. CFS is an independent brand, a compatible replacement and not an OEM part.
