It helps restore original system performance while protecting plumbing, appliances, and downstream filtration stages from sediment buildup.
• 30 Micron Sediment Filtration – Built to help reduce sand, silt, rust, dirt, scale particles, and other suspended sediment with a 30 micron nominal rating. Ideal as a first-stage pre-filter before carbon filters, GAC/KDF filters, water softeners, UV systems, reverse osmosis systems, appliances, and other downstream water treatment equipment.
• Washable Pleated Filter Design – Constructed with durable pleated polyester media to provide strong dirt-holding capacity, steady water flow, and extended service life. The washable and reusable design allows the filter to be rinsed and reused, helping reduce replacement frequency and long-term maintenance costs compared to disposable sediment cartridges.
• Bacteria-Resistant Filter Media – Advanced pleated filter material is designed to resist harboring bacterial growth on the filter surface, helping maintain cleaner filter media and improved filter integrity during extended use. This added protection makes the cartridge especially useful for sediment-heavy well water applications.
• Compatible 4.5 x 20 Big Blue Filter – Fits most standard 4.5" x 20" Big Blue-style whole house filter housings. Compatible replacement for common 20" x 4.5" sediment filter cartridges, including Pentek R50-BB, ECP20-BB, EP Series, EPM Series, PL20B20, PC20-BB-S, FMBB-20, FF20BBPS-20, PPL20BB, and other standard 20" x 4.5" sediment filter cartridges. Confirm filter size and housing compatibility before ordering.
• Important TDS Notice – This pleated sediment filter is designed to help reduce sand, silt, rust, dirt, scale particles, and suspended sediment, but it does not reduce total dissolved solids. TDS reduction typically requires reverse osmosis filtration and should not be expected from a sediment filter cartridge.
