• FITS THESE HOUSINGS - A 10 x 2.5 inch spun polypropylene sediment cartridge, 5 micron nominal. Compatible replacement for GE FXUSC and Pentek P25 in the GXWH04F, GXWH20S, GXWH40F, GX1S01R and GXWH20T housings, for HDX25F4 and P0250A, and for any other standard 10 x 2.5 inch housing. CFS brand, not an original manufacturer part.
• WHAT IT CATCHES - Sand, silt, dirt, rust and scale before they reach your fixtures, the water heater, or the carbon and RO stages downstream. Depth filtration holds particles through the full thickness of the cartridge, so it keeps flowing as it loads instead of blinding over at the surface.
• WHEN TO CHANGE IT - Sediment media clogs rather than exhausting, so the signal is falling pressure at the tap. Plan on every 3 to 6 months or about 600 gallons, sooner on well water. Four cartridges cover one to two years of changes.
• CHECK THE SIZE FIRST - 9.75 to 10 inches long by 2.5 inches across, the standard slim cartridge. It does not fit the wide 4.5 inch Big Blue housings. It is a particle filter only, with no carbon media; for the carbon stage of your system use a CFS carbon block cartridge.
