• Universal fit. Designed for standard 10 by 2.5 inch pre-filtration housings, including GE GXWH04F systems and other common household filter systems. It also fits 40621, FXWTC, WHKF-WHWC, WFPFC8002, WFPFC9001, GXWH20F, GXWH20S, GXRM10 and 3WH-STDCW-F02.
• High grade coconut shell carbon reduces the chlorine taste and odor that make treated municipal water unpleasant to drink and cook with. That is what most people are actually trying to fix when they fit a filter on a household line.
• Durable carbon block construction. The carbon is pressed into a solid block rather than packed in as loose granules, so water is pushed through the media instead of channeling around it. That gives consistent performance and a longer working life than a granular cartridge.
• At 5 micron the block also captures sand, silt, dirt and rust from cold water on the way through, so it is doing both jobs in one body rather than needing a separate sediment stage ahead of it.
• Four filters per pack makes the replacement schedule straightforward without reordering every few months. Carbon exhausts rather than clogging, so change on a schedule rather than waiting for a sign. CFS is an independent brand, a compatible replacement and not an OEM part.
