• SEALED INLINE CARTRIDGE, NO HOUSING - A 10 by 2 inch cartridge packed with granular activated carbon. Inline means it plumbs straight into the line, with no housing to open and no sump to drain. It reduces the chlorine taste and odor that make water unpleasant to drink and spoil the taste of ice and coffee.
• PUSH-FIT QUICK CONNECT, BUILT IN - Both ports are 1/4 inch quick connect and they are part of the cartridge, so there is nothing to buy and nothing to seal. Cut the tubing square, push it in, done. Check what comes off your old filter before ordering, because a threaded inline looks similar and the two are not interchangeable.
• FITS CLOVER DISPENSERS AND AICRO POSITIONS - A replacement for the AIC RO inline post filter and the cartridge used in Clover water dispensers. Any line running standard 1/4 inch tubing takes it. This is a compatible replacement made by CFS, not an original manufacturer part, and brand names are used for reference only.
• BUILT FOR POINT OF USE EQUIPMENT - Beverage equipment, reverse osmosis systems, drinking fountains, water coolers, ice machines and coffee makers. On a reverse osmosis system it is the post filter, sitting after the membrane and storage tank and finishing the taste of stored water on its way to the tap.

Carbon does not; it simply stops reducing taste and odor while flow stays the same. Change on a schedule rather than waiting for a sign, about once a year on a typical line and sooner on heavy use equipment.
