About This

• Two carbon block cartridges replacing WCBCS-975RV, in the standard 10 by 2.5 inch slim line size. At a three to six month change that covers six months to a year on one housing, and carbon keeps indefinitely in its packaging so the spare costs nothing but shelf space.
• Solid carbon block rather than loose granules. The carbon is pressed into a block, so water is pushed through the media instead of channeling around it as it can in a granular cartridge. That contact is what reduces the chlorine taste and odor in treated water, and the block also captures fine sediment on the way through.
• The RV in the part number refers to the original application, but the cartridge is the standard 10 by 2.5 inch size. That means it fits under sink and whole house housings just as well as an RV system, so one box covers a camper hookup and a home filter alike.
• Measure before ordering, because this is the slim 10 by 2.5 inch cartridge and not the 4.5 inch big blue. The two look broadly similar in a photograph and are not interchangeable; a big blue housing will simply swallow a slim line cartridge without sealing against it.
• Carbon exhausts rather than clogging. A sediment cartridge warns you it is finished by dropping your water pressure; carbon gives no such signal and simply stops reducing taste and odor while the flow stays the same. Change every three to six months. CFS is an independent brand, a compatible replacement and not an OEM part.
