• ✅ABOUT PRODUCT: It is a Carbon Block Water filter cartridge that is compatible with 40621 water filter cartridges. It has a larger surface area and a longer filter life. This water filter cartridge removes more pollutants by providing "depth" filtering.
• ✅COCONUT SHELL CARBON BLOCK – The carbon is pressed into a solid block rather than packed as loose granules, so water is pushed through the media instead of channeling around it. That contact is what reduces chlorine taste and odor, and the 5 micron block also captures the sand, silt and rust that come through a campground hose. Rated for about 3,000 gallons at 1 GPM, or roughly one camping season.
• ✅BETTER-TASTING WATER FROM ANY SPIGOT – Campground and marina water varies from one hookup to the next, and the carbon reduces the chlorine taste and odor that come through the hose — better-tasting water for drinking, coffee and cooking wherever you park. For certified reduction of specific contaminants, look for systems tested to NSF/ANSI 53 for those claims.
• ✅FITS THIS HOUSING – Sized for the Camco EVO RV water filter housing, sold as 40631 and 40630, and replaces the 40621, 40624 and 40620 cartridges. Note that this is a coconut shell carbon block rather than the original loose GAC and KDF bed, so it is built around contact time through solid media. It does not fit the Evo X2 or X3 kits, which take the 40638 cartridge.
