• TWO CARTRIDGES AND O-RINGS - String wound sediment filters in the 10 by 4.5 inch big blue size, with replacement housing O-rings included. Four covers a year on a quarterly change, and the seal is the part most people forget until they find water under the housing.
• HOW STRING WOUND WORKS - Polypropylene yarn is wound over a core in a graded pattern, open at the outside and tighter toward the centre. Larger particles are held near the surface and finer ones deeper in, so the cartridge uses its full depth rather than blinding off at the face. It holds sand, silt, dirt, rust and loose scale.
• SEDIMENT ONLY - There is no carbon in a string wound cartridge, so it does not treat chlorine, taste or smell. If that is what you are trying to fix, a carbon block is the right part. Many whole house systems run sediment first with carbon behind it, which keeps the carbon working longer.
• COMPATIBLE WITH PELICAN SYSTEMS - Fits PC40, PC600, PC1000, NS3, NS6, PSE1800, PSE2000, WF4, WF8, WF6 and WF10 sediment positions, and standard 10 by 4.5 inch big blue housings. • MATCH THE FILTER TO YOUR WATER - How fast a cartridge loads depends on your supply. Well water or heavy sediment typically means changing sooner; light municipal use typically stretches the interval. Falling pressure at the taps is the signal to change it, not the calendar. Fit a fresh O-ring at the same time.
