• PLEATED, NOT SPUN - A pleated cartridge folds the media into a fan so it presents far more surface area than a smooth wall of the same size. That surface holds dirt across the whole face instead of loading one spot, and it is the reason a pleated filter can run a fine grade without the pressure drop you would expect. Pleated media can also be rinsed once or twice before it is spent.
• TWO CARTRIDGES PER PACK - At a change every six months, two cartridges cover about a year. Buying the pair costs less per cartridge than replacing one at a time, and it means the spare is on the shelf before pressure starts dropping at the taps.
• FITS THESE PART NUMBERS - A replacement for EQ-304-20 and EQ-PFC.35, and it seats in most standard 20 by 2.5 inch whole house housings. This is the slim 2.5 inch diameter body, not the 4.5 inch big blue; measure the cartridge you are replacing before ordering. This is a compatible replacement, not an original manufacturer part.
• SEDIMENT MEDIA, NOT CARBON - Pleated media is a sediment cartridge. It captures sand, silt, dirt, rust and scale particles. It is not carbon and does not change the taste or odor of your water. If chlorine taste is why you are filtering, run a carbon cartridge after this one rather than instead of it.
• MATCH THE FILTER TO YOUR WATER - How fast a cartridge loads depends on your supply and how much water the house uses. Well water or heavy sediment typically means changing sooner; light municipal use stretches the interval. Falling pressure at the taps is the signal to change it, not the calendar.
