• CHECK THE SIZE BEFORE YOU ORDER - About 5.5 in inside diameter, 5.83 in outside diameter and 0.165 in thick. Measure the outside of your old ring. Not for slim line 2.5 in housings or reverse osmosis membrane housings
• BUNA-N RUBBER - Black Buna-N (nitrile) rubber that holds its shape through filter changes and normal household water pressure
• EASY TO INSTALL - Turn off the water and press the red release button on the cap. Unscrew the sump with the housing wrench, lift out the old ring and wipe the groove clean. Add a thin coat of food grade silicone grease, seat the new ring flat with no twists, then screw the sump back on hand tight. Replace the ring when it looks flattened, cracked or stretched, or when the housing weeps at the cap; a 3 pack keeps spares on hand
• BIG BLUE SIZE, NOT SLIM LINE – This ring is cut for large capacity sumps, the ones that take 4.5 inch diameter cartridges. It will not seal a slim line housing that takes a 2.5 inch cartridge, and it is not the ring for a reverse osmosis membrane housing. Match the housing model rather than the cartridge inside it, and if you are unsure, pull the old seal and measure the outside diameter.
