About This

• THREE STAGES, IN THE RIGHT ORDER - Sediment (5 micron) traps dirt, sand, silt and rust to protect what follows. GAC (25 micron) reduces chlorine, taste, odor and many VOCs at high flow. A premium coconut shell carbon block (10 micron) polishes the finish. Every tap in the house runs through all three.
• BUILT FOR FLOW, NOT JUST FILTRATION - Full 1" NPT ports with brass threaded inserts and large 10" x 4.5" Big Blue housings keep pressure loss low, so showers and appliances still run properly. Brass inserts resist stripping on installation and re-installation in a way plastic threads do not.
• INSTALL KIT IN THE BOX - Ships pre-assembled on its mounting bracket with one filter set installed, a housing wrench, two mounting screws, two 1" NPT nipples and PTFE thread tape. Depending on your pipe type you may still need adapters or shutoff valves - check the manual before you start.
• SERVICING TAKES MINUTES - A pressure-release button on each housing lets you relieve pressure before opening, so filter changes stay clean and dry. Uses standard Big Blue 10" x 4.5" cartridges, so replacements are widely available and inexpensive - typically every 6 to 12 months.
• BEST FOR CITY WATER - Designed for municipal supply. Not a microbiological purifier, does not soften water and does not remove dissolved minerals. On untested well water, test first and add pre-treatment as needed. A qualified plumber is recommended if you are not comfortable working on house plumbing.
