• CHECK YOUR CARBON STAGES - This set carries a single carbon block, matching four stage systems with one carbon housing ahead of the membrane. If your system has two carbon housings, you need a five piece set instead. The membrane is a standard 1812 size rated at 75 GPD.
• HOW THE STAGES WORK - Sediment goes first and holds sand, silt, dirt and rust. The carbon block reduces chlorine along with the tastes and smells that ride with it. That also extends membrane life, since chlorine shortens it. The membrane reduces total dissolved solids, and the inline finishes the taste at the faucet.
• FITS STANDARD 10 INCH SYSTEMS - The cartridges are 10 by 2.5 inch with a standard 1812 membrane, fitting most four stage reverse osmosis systems built on standard 10 inch housings. This is a compatible replacement, not an original manufacturer part.
• MATCH THE FILTER TO YOUR WATER - Prefilters are changed more often than the membrane, so many owners keep a set on hand and replace the membrane on a longer cycle. Falling flow at the faucet points at the prefilters; a rising TDS reading points at the membrane.
